I know for a fact that Dick Cheney claimed the United States would be attacked again, because he was hoping that the United States would be attacked again, so that he could somehow be vindicated and gain politically. He should be handed over to a special unit for “advanced interrogation techniques” for a few months. After he’s confessed to this fact, he can be sentenced and sent to “limbo Guantanamo” forever. Given the fact that he’s now confessed, the special unit cannot be prosecuted for using “special discussion techniques”.
